Exhibition at the Bazaar bar

Temporary art display was on show during Merchant City Festival
The Bazaar Bar in the City Halls building hosted a temporary art gallery displaying the work of three talented local artists during the recent Merchant City Festival.
This was the first year the venue was commissioned to host an artistic display.
The exhibition lined the walls of the bar thanks to the efforts of hospitality services team leader, Matt Longhurst. Matt arranged for the work of Marta Adamowicz, Mhairi Muir and stencil artist, ELKI to be put on display.
Following its initial launch, the exhibition was busy throughout the week with visitors able to enjoy a drink and also having an opportunity to meet the artists.
Julia McCreadie, head of encore and facilities management, said “We’d like to thank Matt for his hard work in organising this impressive exhibition which highlights the Merchant City.
“His contacts within the Glasgow artist community have been vital in sourcing these three great artists whose work has been received extremely well.
“We hope that the exhibition was enjoyed by all who passed through the Bazaar Bar.”
